1/32 Spitfire Mk.IX - Desert Air Force
About This Build
This is my 1/32 scale Spitfire Mk.IX in Desert Air Force markings. The kit is from Tamiya, enhanced with Eduard photo-etched details and aftermarket decals from Barracuda Studios. Build time was approximately 4 months including extensive research into the actual aircraft.
Techniques used include pre-shading, oil dot filter, chipping with a sponge, and various weathering products from AK Interactive and Mig Ammo.

Absolutely stunning work! The weathering on this is incredible. How did you achieve that effect on the exhaust staining?
This is inspirational! I'm just starting out and hoping to reach this level someday.
@WingNut Thanks! I used a combination of Tamiya weathering master and oil washes. Happy to share more details!
